How do I Activate my ShelterCare Card? [ click here ]
New pet owners adopting from selected shelters will be issued a temporary ShelterCare Card at the point of adoption. By activating a ShelterCare Card membership, you are authorizing Pethealth Services (USA) Inc. to bill your credit card for the pets you have chosen. Your membership starts immediately upon activation and payment. To activate your card, please call 1-866-388-7297 (PAWS) or activate online by clicking here.
How does it work? [ click here ]
The card should be presented to the provider at the time of service. The cardholder is obligated to pay the veterinarian, at the time of service, for all veterinary services performed during the visit. The fees charged by the provider are based on the agreement established between the provider and USA Pet Health Network. The provider will verify the cardholder’s eligibility and confirm the preferred rates to be paid, pursuant to the agreement the provider has with the network.
How much does it cost? [ click here ]
The cost for dogs is $59.95 per year, and the cost for cats is $44.95 per year. The program is also designed for owners with multiple pets. Additional pets can be added for the low cost of $20.00 each. In households where both cats and dogs are present, the canine price will be used for the initial membership fee.
Is there an age limit for my Pet’s participation? [ click here ]
There is no age limit for participation, as well as no limits on the total savings you will receive.
What if I want to cancel? [ click here ]
The ShelterCare Card can be cancelled prior to its use within 30 days of enrollment. You will obtain a refund of your membership fees, less a $10.00 administration fee.
How do I renew? [ click here ]
Your ShelterCare Card will automatically renew on an annual basis, and your credit card will be automatically charged for the appropriate amount.
